Our Dedicated Board of Directors

This is truly an amazing group of people. They are responsible for the health and growth of the National Teen Leadership Program and most of them have been involved for 10 years or more. They give their heart and soul, advice and feedback, year round support and even cold hard cash so that our programs can grow and improve for each generation of new leaders.

If you see an asterisk* after someone’s name, that is because they were once an attendee of our program when they were in high school. To join our board they must have completed college and shown commitment to our program by staffing and being involved on a year-round basis. We are proud that 20 of our Directors and Advisory members carry that little *. If you see two ** after a name, that means that individual has also earned their Master’s degree. On this list four more will get that ** shortly!

Of the ‘old guys’, Laura Segura is our founder and started the program back in 1992 with a Mac Plus computer and some gumption. She holds the position of Executive Director and gets little sleep during the program, because she insists on staying on-site. Darrell Lewis and William McGrath are both J.D’s, believe in our mission and give us great legal advice when we need it. Gordon Caulkins is a founding Board member as well as a sounding board, offering his sage advice since our inception. Finally William Wade, our wondrous Adjutant General of the California National Guard, somehow manages to find the time to support our organization, attend meetings and help us grow not only within the ranks of the guard but in our communities as well.

Every member works. Every member donates. They are the life-blood of NTLP and we are proud to list them here.
