What will my student gain from attending NTLP?
It is NTLP’s mission to motivate ALL youth to change the world. We accomplish our goals through life-changing leadership programs that inspire teens to see themselves and their peers differently and give them tools to realize their potential and become more engaged in the world around them.
After experiencing NTLP, participants will:
- Be more motivated and energized
- Have improved leadership skills
- Know the difference between leading and following and know that great leaders must do both
- Be able to summon strength and courage during difficult times
- Understand that it is within their power to make a difference
- Be able to lead by using their individuality
- Be inspired to DO SOMETHING in their community
- Make friends they will want to keep for a lifetime
- Recognize and appreciate others
- Gain year-round support from our staff and alumni mentors
- Have vision and purpose in their lives and inspire vision and purpose in the lives of others
Impressively, students who attended the first programs in 1992 and 1993 are still with the program today; many as contributors and several who hold positions on the Board of Directors. This says a lot about the value these students received from the program and the continued impact on their lives.
We feel fairly certain that NO OTHER leadership program can claim such dedicated alumni.
There must be something very special about NTLP to have so many alumni
stay a part of our organization for so many years. Maybe it was a favorite speaker, or a workshop with the right message at the right time, or maybe it was the support or inspiration they received from the teens they met. It’s hard to say. We just know we make a difference.
The students who attend NTLP are our future. As cliché as that sounds, it is true. Our little leadership weekend makes a huge impact and our alumni have gone on to make a significant impact toward the betterment of the world we live in.
“It’s not just a weekend….it’s your legacy”
