Thank you for your interest in the National Teen Leadership Program!
NTLP is a 501© (3) non profit organization celebrating our 19th year anniversary in 2010. Since 1992, we have hosted over 8500 students in four states.
This year we will be at Chapman University in southern, California, July 9 - 11, 2010 and UC Davis, northern, California, July 23 - 25. The weekend is jam-packed with motivational speakers, quality workshops and numerous small group discussions designed to inspire, instruct and promote teamwork, diversity, communication skills and generally instill important leadership concepts.
Instructional components include:
- Leadership Concepts – Ethics, Roles of leaders and followers, Managing and leading
- Bias Awareness, Diversity issues and Stereotyping
- Goal Setting and Setting Priorities
- Communication and Interviewing skills
- Problem Solving and Conflict Resolution
Have you ever been motivated by a powerful speaker? Everyone responds differently to a speaker’s style, content, humor and presentation. With three different speakers to learn from, every student is touched in a unique way. NTLP hires ONLY the best, most professional youth motivators on the circuit today. Their topics range from thought-provoking messages about hate speech and prejudice to how to overcome obstacles, how to deal with peer pressure and how to accept themselves and be the best they can be.

Program fees are just $399 and group discounts, starting with 5 students are just $350. The fees include: University Accommodations (3 days and 2 nights) all meals, staffing, three motivational speakers, program materials, tee shirt and everything necessary for a quality experience. Advisors staying on site pay $195, which includes room and meals. If you wish to stay in a nearby hotel, there is no charge to come on site and sit in where appropriate.
NTLP seeks students who are leaders in academics, sports, student government, community service, drama, music, or any other school or community activity. Please also consider students who exhibit leadership potential, the ones that need special encouragement because they have not yet discovered their own special leadership abilities. All interested students are accepted. Students may be in grades 9th - 12th, including 8th graders who enter 9th in fall 2010, and seniors graduating in summer 2010.
